Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry / Progressive Care – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Patient ratio 3:1.

• Care for thoracic surgery, cardiac stepdown, and hospitalist patients in an IMC/Progressive Care setting
• Collaborative interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system utilized facility-wide
• Opportunity to work with advanced patient populations including post-surgical thoracic cases, esophagectomies, and cardiac surgery stepdown patients
• Contract assignment with comprehensive orientation and support

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact state RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in telemetry, oncology, cardiac, or PCU/IMC/Stepdown specialty
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Level I preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% overall score)
• Experience with cardiac telemetry interpretation, arterial line management, vasoactive drip titration, chest tubes, and central line management
• Candidate must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
