Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU / Critical Care – Pennsylvania

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (6:00am-6:30pm pre-op or 8:00am-8:30pm post-op) with on-call requirements. On-call includes 2 shifts Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts) and 1 weekend 12-hour shift within a 6-week schedule. One summer and one winter holiday on-call rotation required. Patient ratio of 2:1. 28-bed unit with approximately 30 visits per day.

Highlights:

• Level I Trauma Center experience working with a diverse patient population including adults and pediatrics
• Exposure to complex cases including craniotomies, liver and kidney transplants, cardiac catheterization procedures, interventional radiology, trauma cases (GSW, stabbings, MVA), and various surgical specialties
• 13-week assignment with 16 hours of orientation provided
• Charting system: Cerner Aecis Surgi Net
• Scrubs provided; first-time travelers welcome
• Float opportunities may include GI or Pain Center as needed

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact state license
• Required Certifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), PALS, ACLS, BLS
• Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience required
• Critical Care (ICU) or PACU experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required; ICU background essential
• Preferred experience: SICU, MICU, or CTICU
• Proficiency with charting systems required
• Experience with special equipment including vents, A-lines, Swan-Ganz, drains, CBI, and vasoactive IV titration
• Charge experience preferred
• Valid professional references and certification documentation required at time of submission
• Pennsylvania fingerprinting and background clearance required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
