Description
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts between 0700-1930, day and evening rotations available. Every other weekend and some holidays required. Four 12-hour shifts per week schedule available upon request.
Highlights:
- Work in an 11-bed acuity adaptable burn and wound intensive care unit at a Level One Trauma Center
- Care for both adult and pediatric patients with chemical, electrical, scald, or thermal burns and complex wounds in critical care setting
- Epic EMR system utilized throughout facility
- Magnet-designated teaching and referral center recognized as Wisconsin's top-ranked hospital
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
- 2:1 patient ratios maintained across all shifts
- 20 hours of orientation provided; no burn care experience necessary
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state RN license
- Minimum 2 years of acute care ICU experience within the last 3 years
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required; Level I experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
- PALS certification preferred
- Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date (Adult exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% overall passing score; Pediatric exam requires 80% passing score)
- Skills required include ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, hemodynamic monitoring, and blood product administration
- Willingness to float as needed within the facility
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
