Emergency Department RN - KansasJob Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Kansas

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Location: Overland Park, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Mid-shift schedule with shifts as early as 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM and as late as 1:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Every third weekend required. 48 hours guaranteed available as an option.

  • 24-bed Emergency Department within a Level 2 Trauma Center
  • 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio with dedicated unit secretary support 21 hours per day
  • Advanced equipment including Level 1 fluid warmers, GE monitoring systems, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
  • Meditech documentation system
  • Comprehensive trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis care protocols
  • Minimal floating required; staff-centered scheduling approach

Requirements

  • Current Kansas RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency/Trauma nursing experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, NIH
  • Preferred certifications: CEN or TCRN, CPI
  • Advanced knowledge of trauma care, STEMI management, stroke care, sepsis protocols, and triage procedures
  • Experience performing all procedures associated with Level 2 trauma care
