Job Opportunity – Intermediate Care Unit Float Pool RN – North Carolina

Start Date: September 2026

Location: Western North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week. Up to 2 weekends per month required. Holiday coverage required. Floating to Medical-Surgical units based on patient volume. Block scheduling may be considered if requested upfront.

Highlights:

• 24-bed Intermediate Care Unit with average daily census of 20-24 patients
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1 with goal of 4:1
• EPIC EMR system in use; recent proficiency required
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management skills essential
• Float pool role supporting IMCU and Medical-Surgical units based on patient volume
• Diverse patient population including occasional pediatric patients

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of IMCU or telemetry experience
• 2+ years of travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA), and NIHSS
• Recent EPIC EMR experience and demonstrated proficiency
• Competency in telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with central line care, blood product administration, and cardiac drips
• Comfortable providing care to diverse age groups including pediatric patients
• Must reside more than 40 miles from facility (address verification required)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
