Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist – Georgia

Start Date: Subject to privileging completion (approximately 120 days from acceptance)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Days; Call required 1 day per week and 1 weekend approximately every 4 weeks (subject to departmental needs); Weekend shifts only required during call rotation

Highlights:

  • Specialized cardiovascular, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgical cases including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, aortic repairs, and carotid procedures
  • 1:1 patient ratio ensuring focused, high-quality perioperative care
  • Epic charting system utilized for documentation
  • Interdisciplinary support including respiratory and interpretation services
  • Opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patient populations in advanced cardiac and vascular procedures
  • Float assignments within facility and scope of practice to main OR as needed

Requirements:

  • Active CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification (required)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • RNFA certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of surgical technology experience
  • Required experience in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures (hard requirement)
  • Heart transplant experience highly preferred
  • Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
  • Proficiency with procedures including CABG, valve replacements, aortic repairs, carotid endarterectomy, TAVR, VATS, and ventricular assist devices
  • Must complete privileging process prior to start date (approximately 3-month timeline)
  • Full compliance documentation required to start on time
