Schedule:
12-hour shifts with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio. Weekend coverage required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week period). Block scheduling is approved but not required. No on-call. 36 hours of orientation provided.
Highlights:
- Level II Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke and STEMI designation
- 379-bed Short Term Acute Care facility with 42 emergency department rooms and 46 beds
- Daily census of approximately 136 patients with diverse case mix including trauma, stroke, cardiac conditions, and general emergency care
- Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
- Multidisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Interpretation Services
- Free employee parking in designated surface lots
Requirements:
- Current RN license (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (required)
- Active certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- Epic charting system experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:3
- Skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care, CVA management, isolation precautions, IV vasopressors, dysrhythmia management, and triage
- Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
