Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room RN (CVOR Scrub) – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 40 hours per week, evening shift; consists of two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts

Highlights:

• Scrub-only role focused on cardiac, vascular, and transplant procedures in a Level I Trauma facility
• Work with a comprehensive case mix including CABG, valve replacements, aortic aneurysm repairs, heart and lung transplants, TAVR, TEVAR, EVAR, and LVAD/RVAD procedures
• Dedicated cardiac and vascular operating room with 7 rooms serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Epic charting system utilized across the facility
• Opportunity to work with advanced surgical technologies including Da Vinci robotics and hybrid OR capabilities
• 13-week assignment with one pre-approved time off period

Requirements:

• Active Ohio RN license or compact state license
• Minimum 3 years overall OR experience with 2+ years dedicated cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience
• Minimum 1 year CVOR scrub experience required
• Minimum 1 year experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
• ACLS certification preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must have demonstrated experience with heart/lung transplant, aortic aneurysm repair, CABG, laparoscopic cardiac surgery, mitral valve replacement, VAD placement, endovascular aneurysm repair, and TEVAR procedures
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership position
