Description
Start Date: August 18, 2026
Location: Dallas, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 guaranteed hours weekly, rotating weekends, call requirements to be discussed at interview, may float to antepartum unit as needed
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment in a 24-bed high-risk obstetrical and labor and delivery unit
- AWHONN staffing ratios maintained approximately 80% of the time: cervical ripening 2:1, triage 3:1, stable postpartum mag 2:1, unstable mag or laboring mag 1:1, pitocin or active labor 1:1, early labor 2:1
- Clinical procedures include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, dilation and curettage, and post-delivery recovery care
- GE fetal monitors with Meditech and CPN documentation systems
- Women's hospital classification with high-acuity patient population
- Opportunity to work with advanced maternal-fetal cases requiring specialized nursing skills
Requirements:
- Current RN license eligible for Texas practice
- Minimum 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery bedside experience required
- Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required
- Experience with high-risk obstetrical bedside training, circulating in cesarean sections within labor and delivery, and recovering high-acuity patients (mandatory)
- Adherence to facility dress code including approved scrub colors, no artificial nails, neat professional appearance, covered tattoos when possible, and ear piercings only
- Ability to maintain facility attendance and scheduling policies
