Description
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio, 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, block schedules approved but not required
Highlights:
- 379-bed short-term acute care hospital with Level II Trauma Center designation
- Comprehensive stroke center and STEMI facility with strong interdisciplinary support
- Epic EMR system with 36 hours of orientation provided
- 42-room Emergency Department with average daily census of 136 patients
- Diverse patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- No float requirements between units; free employee parking available
Requirements:
- Active RN license (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- Experience with 1:3 patient ratios preferred
- Proficiency with Epic charting system required
- Community hospital and trauma center experience preferred
- Skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line management, CVA care, IV vasopressors, dysrhythmia management, and triage
