Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, every other weekend required (5-6 weekend shifts per contract), float requirement in effect (travelers float first), 13-20 week assignments accepted

• 24-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• 24-hour orientation provided with manager-based block scheduling
• First-time travelers welcome; 2 years of experience required
• Up to 7 days of pre-approved time off available (excluding holidays)

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts and maintenance, and peripheral line care
• Neurological experience strongly preferred; NIH stroke scale knowledge preferred
• Willingness to learn charge nurse role preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Teamwork approach and commitment to patient safety essential
