Schedule: Self-scheduling model with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period; Patient ratio 1:4-5; 18-bed unit with 2 Patient Care Technicians and 1 Unit Secretary per shift

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac and pulmonary patient populations including COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF, and tracheostomy patients
• Moderate acuity patient mix requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and respiratory management every 2-4 hours
• No on-call requirements
• Modern equipment including Alaris pumps, Kangaroo pumps, Pyxis, and in-room computers in every patient room
• Meditech electronic medical record system

Requirements:

• Current RN license in good standing
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Progressive care, telemetry, or step-down unit experience strongly preferred
• Experience with oxygen therapy modalities including nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP (up to 80%), and AirVo Low Flow
• Proficiency in continuous cardiac monitoring and neurological assessments
