Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM; 36 or 48-hour weekly contracts accepted; 13-26 week contract lengths available; 12-16 weekend shifts per contract required

Highlights:

• Specialized neurosurgical unit focusing on neuro surgical procedures and neurological diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 allowing for quality patient care
• EPIC electronic medical records system with Pyxis medication management
• Comprehensive 2-shift unit orientation following hospital-based orientation
• Floating required; storm team/hurricane team assignment may be expected during catastrophic events
• 36-bed unit with daily census of 36 patients, supported by interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Neurology experience strongly preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Experience with CVA, telemetry monitoring, isolation precautions, IV management, and peripheral line care
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Completion of 8-10 hours of pre-start online modules required
