Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights). Orientation includes 32 hours of facility-specific training.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations with 44-bed capacity and average daily census of 34 patients
• Strong focus on cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insulin protocols, and telemetry experience
• Epic charting system preferred; previous acute care experience in specialty required within the last 12 months
• Float required within the health system to support patient care needs across units
• First-time travelers welcome with at least 1 year of relevant PCU or telemetry experience
• 13-week assignment with opportunities for professionals seeking meaningful critical care experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care, stepdown, or telemetry experience
• Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin drips, and insulin protocols
• Proficiency in starting and maintaining peripheral IVs, oxygen administration, isolation precautions, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager, director, or formal leadership role)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
