Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy / Procedural Sedation – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 8-hour day/evening shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Weeknight call requirement. Flexibility required to stay past shift end to complete daily procedures. Daily census of 20-25 patients across 4 procedure rooms.

Highlights:

• Provide direct patient care during gastrointestinal and bronchoscopy procedures including administration and monitoring of moderate sedation
• Utilize RN-driven assessment approach to sedation management based on Ramsay Sedation Scale scoring
• Perform pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care across all levels including PACU Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Work with advanced GI and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy
• Epic EMR system utilized throughout facility
• Magnet-designated academic medical center ranked as Wisconsin's top hospital

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Wisconsin or multistate compact license (pending Wisconsin license accepted with submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care settings within the last 3 years
• Recent experience recovering sedated patients undergoing GI and pulmonary procedures
• Level 1 Trauma Center or similar academic medical center experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must successfully pass telemetry examination prior to start date with strict passing criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% overall passing score
• Proficiency in airway management, conscious sedation administration and monitoring, IV initiation and maintenance, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Experience with procedural medications including Propofol, Versed, opioid analgesics, and reversal agents
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
