Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Surgery Trauma – Georgia

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Schedule: Variable shifts as assigned; block scheduling not available. This is a high-acuity surgical trauma unit with a 5:1 patient ratio supported by nursing techs, phlebotomists, and night unit secretaries.

Highlights:

• High-acuity surgical trauma floor serving a complex patient population including surgical cases, trauma patients, and patients with spinal cord injuries
• EPIC electronic medical records system in use
• Structured nurse handoff process between ED and admitting unit
• Supportive environment with nursing techs, dedicated phlebotomists, and unit secretary coverage
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
• No time off requests during assignment period

Requirements:

• Active Georgia RN license or multistate compact license
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in surgical trauma or high-acuity medical-surgical nursing
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system required
• Flexibility to work variable shifts as needed
