Description
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 48 hours per week, 6-week contract. Mid-shift schedule ranging from as early as 10:00 AM to as late as 1:30 AM. Every third weekend required. No time off or special scheduling accommodations available.
Highlights:
- 24-bed Emergency Department within a Level II Trauma Center
- 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio with strong unit support including 21-hour unit secretary coverage
- Advanced case mix including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and triage protocols
- Meditech documentation system with advanced equipment including Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitoring, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
- Rapid response assignment with condensed onboarding checklist and start within 5–7 days of offer
- Minimal floating policy; patient-centered culture utilizing AIDET and collaborative teamwork
Requirements:
- Current Kansas RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency or Trauma nursing experience in a Level II Trauma Center
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale
- Preferred certifications: CEN, TCRN, or CPI
- Proficiency in trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis protocols, and triage
- All required certifications must be included in submission packet
