Description
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Night rotation, 12-hour shifts (0700-1930, 1900-0730), with every other weekend rotation and holidays as needed. Day/Night rotators will not be scheduled to flip between shifts more than twice in a 6-week scheduling period, with 36 hours off between schedule flips, unless requested by employee.

- 25-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with daily census of 20 patients serving adult and geriatric populations
- Diverse case mix including variety of medical-surgical conditions under the Family Medicine service
- EPIC electronic medical record system utilized throughout the facility
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Magnet-designated facility recognized as Wisconsin's #1 hospital and among the nation's leading teaching institutions
- Specialized locked wing for Department of Corrections patients with dedicated DOC officer accompaniment
Requirements:
- Active RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry specialty
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs required
- Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (80% or higher with 100% accuracy on lethal rhythms)
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central lines, PICC lines, wound care, PCAs, and isolation precautions
- Previous experience caring for law enforcement/corrections patients preferred
- Candidates must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
- Floating to other units as needed required
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
