Description
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM. 36 or 48 hours per week available. Every other weekend required. Float assignments as needed. Holiday coverage required.
Highlights:
- Specialized neurology unit focused on stroke and neurological patient care
- Patient ratio of 1:6 across all shifts
- EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management

Requirements:
- Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
- Neurology or medical-surgical experience required
- Telemetry experience and ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias preferred
- Proficiency with peripheral IV starts and line management
- Experience with stroke (CVA) patients, isolation precautions, and non-invasive airway management
- Willingness to participate in emergency response protocols including storm team assignments
- Availability to work up to 7 days of requested time off within contract period
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
