Description
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Float required to different units as needed; 2-3 patient ratio
Highlights:
- Level III NICU providing specialized care for neonates from 22 weeks gestation and above
- 30-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, and social services
- EPIC charting system and Pyxis medication administration
- Advanced clinical experience with respiratory management, cardiovascular support, and surgical/cardiac interventions
- Utilize SBAR communication methodology for effective collaboration with healthcare team and families
- Parking permits available with multiple options ranging from monthly to annual plans
Requirements:
- Valid Compact or Ohio RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of NICU experience; Level III and Level IV experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Proficiency in EPIC charting system
- Competency in arterial line management, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), and umbilical catheter placement
- Experience with IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids, and neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions
- Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Important Compliance Information:
- Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date with no exceptions
- Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing; candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible
- Former employees eligible after 6 months separation; current employees ineligible for travel positions
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
