Description
Start Date: October 26, 2026 (ASAP start required)
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 06:15 – 16:45, with call coverage 2 days per week and every 3rd weekend; every 3rd weekend required
Highlights:
- Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) circulating nurse position – no scrubbing required
- 1:1 patient ratio with approximately 6 procedures per day across 3 operating rooms
- Case mix includes CABG, valve replacements (AVR, MVR, TVR), aortic dissections, TAVR, laser lead extractions, thoracic procedures, and advanced mechanical support (ECMO, Impella)
- Epic EMR documentation system with Pyxis medication management
- Float capability to main OR on same campus as needed based on CVOR volume
- 24 hours of orientation provided based on experience level; scrubs provided
- Contract lengths accepted through February 27, 2027
Requirements:
- Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR nursing experience required
- ECMO and Impella experience required
- Strong circulating experience in cardiovascular operating room settings
- First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Willingness to participate in emergency preparedness teams including storm/hurricane response and disaster situations

Additional Information:
- No requested time off (RTO) permitted after contract signing; RTO must be arranged and approved prior to booking
- Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Pre-start online modules required (8-10 hours, non-billable) using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- Former employees must wait 12 months before applying
