# Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** November 2, 2026 **Location:** Houston, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day and night shift positions available; 1:1 to 2:1 patient ratios depending on acuity level; 35-bed unit with 24/7 ancillary support

Highlights:

  • Diverse case mix including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, PACU recovery, and antepartum care/testing
  • State-of-the-art equipment including Hill-Rom birthing beds, Alaris IV pumps, GE core metrics fetal monitoring, and NOVI wireless fetal monitoring systems
  • EMR platforms: CPN (Centricity) and Meditech for streamlined documentation
  • Access to 13-bed Maternal Assessment Center for comprehensive triage of pregnant patients
  • Round-the-clock ancillary services including anesthesia, neonatal, laborist, and hospitalist support

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse license in Texas
  • AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification (required)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (required)
  • Experience with OR circulation for cesarean sections (preferred)
  • Proficiency in placement of FSE and IUPC (preferred)
  • Labor & Delivery experience with continuous electronic fetal monitoring, Pitocin and cervical ripening protocols, and administration of Magnesium Sulfate, Hydralazine, and Labetalol
