# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Acute Care – North CarolinaStart Date: September 24, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 48 hours guaranteed per week; includes 6 weekend shifts (2 Saturdays per shift block); overtime paid after 48 hours; rotating day and night shifts availableHighlights:

• 19-bed Pediatric and Oncology unit combining general pediatrics (13 beds) with pediatric oncology services (6 beds)
• Patient ratios of 1:3, 1:4, or 1:5 depending on acuity
• Cerner EMR system; Alaris pump technology
• Shift staffing includes charge RN, floor RNs, respiratory therapist, and patient care technician
• 4-hour hospital orientation followed by 8-hour on-floor shift to start
• Opportunity to work with both general pediatric and oncology patient populations

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Hospital-based pediatric nursing experience required
• APHON certification preferred for oncology experience
• Ability to float to PICU and NICU as needed
• Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable personality
