Description
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 or 1900-0730); every other weekend and every other holiday required; no call; no time off available for Thanksgiving
Highlights:
- Work in a fast-paced, 15-bed private room unit serving as a transitional admissions area for Emergency Department patients awaiting unit assignment
- Level I Trauma Center experience in an acute care setting with a 5:1 patient ratio (days) and 6:1 ratio (nights)
- EPIC charting system with modern equipment including Zebra phones, Omnicell medication management, and Aleris IV pumps
- Opportunity to float to other medical/surgical units to expand clinical skills and experience
- Perform comprehensive initial admissions and provide high-quality care during critical transition periods
- New medical/surgical unit offering dynamic learning opportunities in a collaborative environment
Requirements:
- Active RN license in North Dakota or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience required
- Level I Trauma Center experience required (high-volume Level II Trauma experience will be considered)
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility (applicants living 60-80 miles from facility may be subject to adjusted compensation rates)
