Description
Start Date: November 16, 2026 (ASAP start preferred)
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Call requirements include one week of weekday call every two months (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM following regular shift) and one weekend of 24-hour call every two months. Call volume is typically low, with most call-ins for pacemaker cases averaging approximately 2 hours.
Highlights:
- Work in one of the largest and most advanced Electrophysiology programs in the region
- Perform highly specialized procedures including cardiac ablations, device implantations, pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) closure, and advanced EP studies
- Collaborate with world-renowned electrophysiologists using state-of-the-art mapping systems and the latest cardiology technologies
- Epic EMR system in a 6-bed unit with daily census of approximately 22 patients
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of experience
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nursing, Biology, or Chemistry from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience and Epic charting system proficiency required
- Experience with cardiac procedures including ablations, mapping, cardioversion, device insertion/programming, and vascular closure systems preferred
- 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)

Candidates must be available to complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements immediately upon contract signing. Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date with no exceptions. Former employees must have been away from any location within this health system for 6 months or more to be eligible.
