Description
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week), weekdays and some weekends, rotating holidays required
Highlights:
- 30-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in lower acuity cardiac patients with electrophysiology focus
- Patient ratio of 1:3-4 across all shifts
- EPIC charting system in use
- Diverse case mix including arrhythmias, syncope, chest pain, CHF, endocarditis, post-catheterization care, and open heart surgery overflow
- Exposure to specialized procedures including pacemaker placement/extraction, arrhythmia ablations, cardioversions, sheath management, and anti-arrhythmic drug loads
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit experience
- Cardiac experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- EPIC experience required
- Strong competencies in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, peripheral line care, isolation precautions/PPE, and use of rapid response/code teams
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Willingness to float to different units within the organization as needed
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
