Description
Start Date: November 2026
Location: Pennsylvania
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Flexible scheduling options available including (2) 8-hour shifts 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM and (2) 12-hour shifts 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Schedule includes 1 worked weekend, up to 6 weekday on-call shifts per 6-week schedule period (maximum), and 2 weekend on-call shifts. Summer and winter holiday coverage required.
Highlights:
- Level I Trauma Center experience with high-acuity case mix including liver and kidney transplants, gunshot/stab wounds, MVA polytrauma, and complex neurosurgical and orthopedic procedures
- Both scrub and circulating experience utilized across diverse surgical specialties including general OR, orthopedics, vascular, and neurosurgery
- Charting system: Cerner EMR platform
- Float opportunities to GI unit and surgical center to expand clinical exposure
- 13-week assignment with 40 hours of paid orientation
- Daily census of approximately 30 patients across 14 operating rooms
Requirements:
- Current Pennsylvania RN license or compact state license required at time of submission
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience with at least 2-3 years in Level I Trauma setting
- Trauma certification (TNCC) required
- BLS certification required and current
- Level I and Level II Trauma experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers cannot be considered)
- Demonstrated competency in scrubbing and circulating for complex trauma, orthopedic, neurosurgical, and vascular procedures
- Experience with abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, spinal fusion procedures, craniotomy, carotid endarterectomy, total joint replacement, and trauma cases
- Completion of state-required fingerprinting and background clearances
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
