Description
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Northern Michigan
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time assignment with every other weekend coverage; possible on-call responsibilities
Highlights:- Join an award-winning Cardiovascular Unit recognized with a Silver Beacon Award and redesigned by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN)
- Serve over 4,000 cardiology patients annually with advanced procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers
- Care for approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op), congestive heart failure patients, and those undergoing electrophysiology studies
- Participate in national clinical research trials through an active research department
- Work at a facility recognized as a Top 50 Heart Hospital in the United States
- Collaborative team environment with exceptional leadership, medical staff, and nursing colleagues committed to optimal patient outcomes
- Active Michigan RN license required (LARA and Nursys verification required)
- Minimum 1 year of Step-Down nursing experience required
- Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac nursing required
- Strong EKG interpretation skills required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Travel experience required
- Flexibility to float to similar units as needed
- Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
- Reliable attendance and punctuality essential to support patient care standards
