Description
Start Date: October 20, 2026
Location: Dallas, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week, 13-week assignment, day and night shifts available. Weekend and call requirements to be discussed during interview.
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment in a busy Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with day and night shift options
- Opportunity to work with complex pediatric critical care patients including trauma, post-operative congenital anomalies, and high-acuity disease management
- Experience with advanced critical care technologies including ventilated patients (HFOV, VDR, Servo), pressure lines, and critical drips
- Meditech documentation system
- Floating to other pediatric units as needed (NICU, CHSU, general pediatrics, and pediatric hem/onc)
- Professional environment with experienced, tenured staff
Requirements:
- Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will NOT be accepted)
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Critical Care experience in a high-acuity setting
- Strong clinical skills in critical care management including respiratory illnesses, sepsis, DKA, pressure lines (CVPs, arterial lines, UAC/UVC), ventilated patients, and complex drip management
- Experience with pediatric trauma patients, EVDs, Codmans, and neurological assessments preferred
- Proficiency with procedures including Foley insertions, trans-pyloric feeding tubes, dressing changes, and port access
- Professional appearance adhering to facility dress code standards
