Description
Start Date: November 2026
Location: Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Evening and night shifts available including 8-hour and 12-hour options. Shift times include 1500-2330, 1900-0730, and 2300-0730. Weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed.

- 18-bed adult and geriatric behavioral health unit with average daily census of 14 patients
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams

- Opportunity to care for diverse patient populations including those with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, substance use disorders, and patients receiving ECT
Requirements
- Active RN license (Wisconsin or compact state license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience as a Behavioral Health RN within the last 3 years
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
- Experience with low patient-to-nurse ratios (1:4 preferred)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Community hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Proficiency in de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, behavior management, physical hold protocols, and seclusion procedures
- Experience with managing assaultive behavior, self-injurious behavior, and suicidal patients in locked unit settings
- Competency in psychiatric medication administration including antipsychotics, antidepressants, mood stabilizers, and emergent chemical restraints
- IV initiation and maintenance skills required
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date
- Ability to float as needed based on unit census and operational needs
