Description
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Float pool position requiring flexibility with scheduling. Every other weekend required. Patient ratios up to 1:6 in Medical-Surgical units, up to 1:7 in some areas. No call required. 12-hour orientation provided.
Highlights:
- Dynamic float pool role with exposure to Emergency Department, ER Hold, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care/Stepdown units
- Diverse patient population including post-surgical, medical, and PCU stepdown patients
- Epic charting system preferred
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Social Services
- Holiday requirement: Work major holidays that fall during assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
- Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract; must be finalized at time of submission
Requirements:
- Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers not accepted
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Experience with patient ratios of 4-6 patients
- Community hospital and trauma level experience preferred
- Skills required: Cardiac telemetry, care of ventilated patients, central line and PICC line management, ER holding, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardiac and vasoactive drip management and titration, IV therapy, isolation precautions, non-invasive airway management, and use of rapid response/code teams
- Full compliance documentation required by Tuesday prior to start date; delays may result in 2-week postponement
- Core compliance items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
