Description
Minimal Experience:2 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel experiences most preferred. If have 1.5 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel and have significant RN experience outside of ICU, management team will need to give approval.
Required Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS TNCC(REQUIRED)
Complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro and trauma
Diagnoses include: ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, multiple system trauma heavy trauma population. Cardiac experience is preferred (not required): CABG/TAVR 24 to 48 hrs post op experience is preferred but not required for travelers. Will not take fresh open hearts unless they are experienced, and the facility felt comfortable with this given to permanent staff.
ICU RN qualified to float to EDPCU RN qualified to float to ICU Experience with IV medications (vasopressors, sedation, paralytics), hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, telemetry, strong critical thinking and assessment skills, working well in team setting, comfortable in fast pace setting with all critical patients.Impella, IABP and CRRT strongly preferred
ICU RN peripheral blood draws only, ICU CRNs place all midlines
Patient Ratios:RN: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 (rare) acuity dependent
