Make an Impact as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at BAYADA Home Health Care
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Big Island Visits team. As a home health COTA, you’ll join a multi-disciplinary home health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive medical care at home. We believe our clients and their families deserve the highest quality home health care delivered with compassion, excellence, and reliability. How You’ll Make an Impact:

Be partnered with an experienced and supportive home health Occupational Therapist

Follow established care plans and work with patients 1:1 to improve function, ADL, and IADLs
-
Educate and instruct patients, family members, and other patient representatives in rehabilitative care and activities necessary to support the client’s health, safety, and independent living
-
Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided, utilizing a state-of-the-art touch pad tablet

Qualifications for a BAYADA Occupational Therapy Assistants:
-
Be licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in Hawaii
-
Be willing and able to travel in assigned territory
-
Have graduated from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma; OR
-
Have two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved, or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977

Have at least one year of work experience supervised by a qualified Occupational Therapist
