Travel Nurse Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,280 – $2,400
- Location: San Francisco, CA 94109 (Pacific Heights / Northern California nursing jobs)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), rotating weekends
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: 8-bed MST overflow unit (Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry)
- Patient Ratio: 4:1
- Orientation: 16 hours
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission)
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical Stepdown or Telemetry nursing experience
- Epic charting experience preferred (electronic health record / EHR experience)
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to provide 7-year work history verification
- Must be available for pre-employment lab work within 3–5 days of signing
- All required certifications must be in hand at time of submission
- Only one holiday off will be approved during assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive, patient- and family-centered care for adults in a Cardiac Stepdown/Telemetry setting
- Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry; interpret rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and post-procedural care consistent with unit protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV team, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
- Float to other CPMC locations as needed based on census and staffing (flexible travel nurse expectation)
- Maintain accurate charting and documentation in the EHR (Epic preferred)
- Participate in orientation, complete required e-learning modules, and adhere to compliance/background requirements
