Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1920–$2060
• Location: Needham, MA (02492) – Greater Boston area
• Setting: Hospital Laboratory (Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Lab Technologist)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (4/27/2026 – 7/25/2026)
• Shift Duration: 10-hour nights
• Shift: 10-hour nights (9:00pm–7:30am) — night shift medical laboratory scientist role
• Schedule: 30 hours/week, rotating nights (see below)
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (not including on-call)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (travel lab job)

Rotating Night Schedule:
Week 1: Sunday / Tuesday / Wednesday
Week 2: Tuesday / Friday / Saturday
Week 3: Sunday / Tuesday / Wednesday
Week 4: Tuesday / Friday / Saturday

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science
• ASCP MLS certification (or equivalent national certifying agency) — Medical Laboratory Scientist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist credential required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital setting (generalist experience preferred)
• Epic EMR experience required (Epic lab modules experience highly preferred)
• Generalist proficiency in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and gram stains
• Must be separated from BILH for at least 6 months and in good standing
• No local candidates — travel assignment only

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing and analysis across blood bank, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and gram stains
• Maintain functional laboratory sections to meet patient care needs for a hospital laboratory
• Uphold laboratory policies, quality control, and ensure accuracy and compliance with lab standards
• Collaborate closely with supervisors, the laboratory director, and chief of pathology
• Contribute to a positive, efficient work atmosphere and support patient-centered care
