  • Position: Travel Radiologic Technologist – Interventional Radiology (IR Tech)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,360 – $2,540
  • Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:30 – 18:00), Monday–Friday
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • On-Call: Weekends and evenings/nights on-call rotation (primary and backup)
  • Start Date: 4/29/2026
  • Scrubs: Provided

Job Requirements (Must Have)

  • Minimum 1 year recent Interventional Radiology scrub experience, including Neuro/Stroke procedures (IR technologist experience)
  • Previous travel experience required (no first-time travelers)
  • Active ARRT (R) certification
  • BLS certification from AHA
  • Experience operating Siemens and Philips x-ray/fluoroscopy equipment
  • Proficient with PACS and contrast administration
  • NC state Radiologic Technologist license or Compact State license in hand at start
  • Available for on-call rotation (weekends/evenings/nights)
  • Available for full orientation week (no RTO during first week)
  • References: Two manager/supervisor references from the past 12 months preferred
  • COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
  • Willingness to float to other units as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARRT Advanced Certification
  • Experience with Epic and Visage charting systems
  • Background in outpatient, OR, ER, Level I trauma, community hospital, and ablation procedures
  • Experience with Acuson ultrasound equipment

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of Interventional Radiology procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, biopsies, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, neurological studies, and stroke interventions
  • Scrub and maintain a sterile field for all IR procedures; support neuro/stroke interventions
  • Operate Siemens and Philips x-ray/fluoroscopy equipment and manage studies in PACS
  • Administer contrast safely and document contrast usage per protocol
  • Provide patient care for adults, geriatrics, and some adolescents in the IR setting
  • Participate in on-call rotation for evenings, nights, and weekends as scheduled
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (radiologists, nurses, technologists) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control
