• Job Title: Charge Registered Nurse (RN), Operating Room / Perioperative Nurse
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,630 - $2,770
• Location: Chico, California (95926) — California nursing jobs, Chico healthcare
• Setting: Operating Room (OR) / Perioperative unit
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 7, 2026 – July 7, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days, 6:30 AM start (primarily weekend coverage)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel, W-2 (Travel RN opportunity)

Required Qualifications – Charge RN / OR RN

• Minimum 1 year current perioperative charge nurse or relief charge nurse experience (Charge RN, OR RN, Perioperative Nurse)
• Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing (valid RN license — California)
• Current CPR certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field (preferred)
• Two years or more of Critical Care experience (preferred) — strong perioperative + critical care background helpful
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) (preferred)

Primary Responsibilities – Perioperative & Charge RN Duties

• Lead and coordinate perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, acting as Charge RN for shifts
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to OR staff to ensure high standards of patient safety and perioperative care
• Assist with case scheduling, workflow management, and allocation of OR resources during shifts
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and perioperative support staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to Med/Surg and Critical Care units as needed, providing flexible clinical support
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and perioperative protocols
• Promote a positive, collaborative team environment and mentor less experienced nurses
