- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 – $1,540
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Minimum 1 year recent nursing experience; hospice, palliative care, or related field preferred
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong communication, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills for end-of-life care
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary hospice team
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered hospice and palliative nursing care to patients and families
- Perform assessment, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Deliver pain and symptom management, administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Coordinate care with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals
- Offer emotional support, education, and bereavement resources to patients and loved ones
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) according to facility and regulatory standards
