Join a dedicated maternal and newborn care team at a leading acute care facility in beautiful Los Alamos, New Mexico. This 13-week travel nursing assignment provides the opportunity to practice obstetrics nursing (OB/GYN RN) in a supportive acute care setting while enjoying the outdoor recreation and rich history of Northern New Mexico.

Job Details – Travel Nurse OBGYN / Labor & Delivery RN

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,010 – $2,120
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
• Location: A leading acute care facility in Los Alamos, NM
• Setting: 47-bed acute care facility – OB/GYN unit (LDRP & Postpartum)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: Every other/as needed
• Call Requirements: As needed
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 LDRP, 3 couplets:1 Postpartum
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): OBIX, Medhost, GUI

Qualifications – OBGYN RN / Labor & Delivery Nurse

• Active RN license eligible to practice in New Mexico (or ability to obtain state RN license)
• Minimum 1 year of recent LDRP/Postpartum experience (Labor & Delivery, Delivery Room, Postpartum)
• Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS
• Fingerprinting and background check required prior to hire (New Mexico state requirement)
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Patient-focused, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to continuing learning in maternal-newborn care

Key Responsibilities – OBGYN / Obstetrics Nurse

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to childbearing women and newborns in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum environments
• Monitor and assess maternal and neonatal patients, administer medications, and assist with vaginal and operative deliveries
• Support LDRP workflows including triage, fetal monitoring, and newborn assessments
• Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using OBIX, Medhost, and GUI EHR systems
• Participate in unit orientation, ongoing training, and quality improvement activities
• Maintain compliance with facility and state requirements, including fingerprinting and background checks
