Qualifications & Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1 year recent endoscopy/GI nursing or peri-procedural experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience with EPIC EMR (electronic medical record) required
• Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (CGRN) preferred
• Ability to float to Med/Surg and Critical Care units as needed
• Strong skills in patient monitoring, conscious sedation support, and peri-procedural documentation

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic and GI procedures
• Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures, including scope reprocessing awareness and patient positioning
• Provide peri-procedural monitoring, administer medications, and assess for adverse reactions
• Document all patient care and procedure details accurately in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary surgical and gastroenterology team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, sterile environment in compliance with hospital infection control policies
• Float to Med/Surg and Critical Care units as required by staffing needs
