- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730 (Travel Nurse pay)
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina (28801)
- Setting: Emergency Department (ER) — Level 2 trauma center
- Assignment Duration: 13-week travel assignment
- Shift: 12-hour Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Number of Beds: 101
- Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1 (medical), up to 7:1 (ED behavioral holds)
- Team: Techs, unit clerks, and cardiac monitoring support
- Documentation System: Cerner
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits annually)
- At least 1 year of ER experience
- Active RN license (North Carolina or compact RN license preferred)
- Certifications required before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Teamwork mentality with flexibility to work across all ED areas
- Ability to coach peers and provide real-time feedback
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED setting
- Perform triage, rapid assessment, and advanced ER nursing procedures as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including techs, unit clerks, and monitoring staff
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner
- Adhere to patient experience standards (AIDET, respectful communication, timely updates)
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as staffing needs require
- Follow department policies, safety protocols, and trauma/stroke pathways
