• Unit Beds: 118
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner (EHR experience preferred)
• Dress Code: Grey scrubs (no hooded sweatshirts)

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (MA)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Handle With Care (HWC) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience preferred (Psychiatric RN experience)
• Strong de-escalation, crisis intervention, and teamwork skills
• Ability to float between patient floors/units as needed
• Experience with medication administration, mental health assessments, and patient monitoring
• Must pass background check and meet travel nursing compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients with psychiatric diagnoses (e.g., schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder)
• Conduct psychiatric assessments, monitor patient status, and document care using Cerner EHR
• Administer psychotropic and PRN medications safely and accurately per policy
• Use equipment such as EKG, vitals monitors, and glucometers during assessments
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary mental health team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment using de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies
• Float between units as required to support patient care and staffing needs
