• Shift: 8-hour nights (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM); every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 40

Qualifications (Job Requirements)

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting
• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification (ASCP or state-equivalent preferred)
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend — experience with hospital lab night shift workflow
• Completion of required onboarding health screenings, background checks, and credential verification
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality patient care, and ability to work independently during night shifts
• Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS), quality control (QC), and specimen handling preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently during night shifts as a clinical laboratory technician / hospital lab tech
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain clinical laboratory equipment and analyzers
• Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, processing, and labeling to support accurate diagnostics
• Enter and document test results in the laboratory information system (LIS) and communicate critical values to clinical teams
• Perform routine quality control (QC), participate in proficiency testing, and maintain CLIA/CAP and hospital compliance
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient diagnosis and treatment
• Follow hospital and laboratory safety protocols (including HIPAA privacy practices) and complete required documentation
