Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Fullerton, CA. 13-week contract for experienced Cath Lab RNs with EPIC, ACLS, BLS, and an active California RN license. Ideal for travel nurses seeking cardiac cath lab experience in Orange County.

Job Details — Travel Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Nurse

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,520 - $2,650
• Location: Fullerton, CA (92835) — Orange County | Travel Nurse jobs Fullerton | California travel nursing
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 19, 2026 – August 18, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour (06:30 - 17:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: 2 nights/week + 1 weekend/2 weeks
• Facility: Acute Care Hospital, 320 staffed beds — Interventional Cardiology and Cath Lab services
• Perks: Free on-site parking; RN scrub color Royal Blue; opportunity to expand interventional cardiology skills (Impella, balloon pumps)

Job Requirements — Cath Lab RN Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years recent Cath Lab RN experience (2 years preferred) — cardiac cath lab, interventional cardiology or EP labs
• Travel RN experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Active California RN license in hand (required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience required
• LA Fire Card issued within the last 30 days required
• Ability to float between facilities/units as needed
• References: 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
• Availability to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Responsibilities — Cath Lab RN Duties

• Deliver direct patient care in the Cath Lab for adult and geriatric populations — monitor hemodynamics and procedural sedation
• Assist and circulate during invasive cardiac procedures: angioplasty, cardiac ablation, pacemaker/ICD insertion, and other interventional procedures
• Monitor procedural sedation, administer emergency medications, and respond to cardiac emergencies and dysrhythmias
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized hemodynamic support devices (Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump)
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and hemodynamic instability in collaboration with physicians and cardiac care team
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting using EPIC — ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Participate in on-call rotation, weekend coverage, and float assignments as scheduled
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including cardiology physicians, anesthesia, pharmacy, and ancillary services
