• Location: Harrison Township, New Jersey (08062) — New Jersey nursing job, near Philadelphia and the Jersey Shore
• Position: Labor and Delivery Nurse, L&D RN (Registered Nurse)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580 – $2,720
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: Includes every other weekend and every other holiday
• Scrub Color: Steel Grey
• Start Date: May 11, 2026
• Work Setting: On-site — hospital labor and delivery unit

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years recent experience as a Labor & Delivery Nurse, with experience within the last 6 months
• Experience with postpartum couplet care required — postpartum care and newborn support experience preferred
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Valid BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications (cannot expire within 30 days of start date)
• Ability to attend and complete all required orientation and training sessions, virtual and in-person
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care to mothers and newborns, including postpartum couplet care
• Monitor maternal and neonatal status, administer medications, and assist with vaginal and assisted deliveries
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
• Participate fully in orientation, competency validation, and unit training
