• Shifts: 3 x 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15)

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX)
• Minimum 2 years recent Telemetry nursing experience (cardiac telemetry preferred)
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including rhythm strip identification and measurement
• Experience with open heart surgical patients preferred but not required
• Ability to float to ICU, medical-surgical units, and other areas as needed
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and pick up one additional shift per schedule period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients on a busy telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, manage non-titratable cardiac drips, and perform post-procedure cardiac care
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care across the episode of care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including CNAs, Critical Care Techs, Advanced Care Techs, and ancillary staff
• Float to other units within competency to support staffing needs and maintain continuity of care
• Care for conditions such as CHF, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, COPD, and post-cardiac procedures
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality in a Level II Trauma Center environment
