Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of clinical NICU experience or relevant neonatal specialty — NICU nurse experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)
- Active PA Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multi-State Compact RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred or as required by facility
- Professional education, training, or additional certifications may be required by specialty area
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned NICU patients under physician direction
- Apply current nursing practices and neonatal care protocols in a Level III NICU
- Collaborate with families, neonatal nurse practitioners, physicians, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to individualize patient care
- Direct and support nursing support staff to meet departmental standards and policies
- Maintain accurate documentation, follow unit procedures, and ensure patient safety
