• Setting: Level III NICU — neonatal intensive care unit

• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week, 36 hours/week

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical NICU experience or relevant neonatal specialty — NICU nurse experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)
• Active PA Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multi-State Compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred or as required by facility
• Professional education, training, or additional certifications may be required by specialty area

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned NICU patients under physician direction
• Apply current nursing practices and neonatal care protocols in a Level III NICU
• Collaborate with families, neonatal nurse practitioners, physicians, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to individualize patient care
• Direct and support nursing support staff to meet departmental standards and policies
• Maintain accurate documentation, follow unit procedures, and ensure patient safety
