Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
• Location: DeRidder, LA 70634 (Southwest Louisiana travel nursing)
• Setting: 16-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 05/04/2026 – End: 08/03/2026)
• Shift: Night position, 7p - 7a, 7 on / 7 off (Night Shift ICU RN)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / ICU RN)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing (critical care RN) experience
• Active RN license (must meet Louisiana licensure requirements)
• Certification in Nursing; ICU specialty certification preferred
• Must be employed by a Joint Commission Accredited agency listed on the Louisiana Department of Health Nurse Staffing Agencies List
• Cannot permanently reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and other critical care certifications preferred

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor and assess critically ill patients, including hemodynamic monitoring and neurological status
• Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support as needed
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform central line and arterial line care, IV therapy, and other critical care procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Support patients and families through education and compassionate communication
