Job Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience; 2+ years of travel nursing experience preferred
Active RN license (Florida RN license or compact state license accepted)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required; PALS required (may be obtained within 30 days of start)
AWHONN certification preferred (can be completed onsite)
Experience across L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Mother/Baby (perinatal and postpartum care)
Must be flexible to float to other units as needed
AHCA clearance required for Florida placements

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive Labor & Delivery nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases
Perform mother and newborn assessments, monitor fetal status, and support safe deliveries and neonatal stabilization
Apply the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
Maintain current clinical competencies through continuing education and required certifications
Delegate care and provide direction/supervision to assigned personnel based on staff education and experience
Float to other units as facility needs require, supporting broader hospital nursing teams
