Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Setting: Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) – Rehab division (acute care SLP / LTACH SLP role)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920 – $2,060 (competitive pay for travel SLP jobs in California)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour days, 40 hours/week)
- Employment Type: Travel, on-site clinical SLP role

SLP Job Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of California
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an SLP; acute care or LTACH experience highly preferred
- Clinical experience with PMV, trach/vent, and Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) strongly preferred
- Comfortable providing dysphagia therapy, cognitive-communication therapy, and swallowing assessments
- Strong communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and documentation skills (Protouch experience a plus)
- Willingness to float to nearby facilities (San Gabriel Valley & Brea) as census requires
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Perform and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and manage trach/vent patients and PMV cases as needed
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional outcomes and discharge readiness
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and rehab staff to optimize patient care
- Document patient evaluation, progress, and plans in the Protouch EMR accurately and timely
- Provide patient and family education on dysphagia management, safe swallowing strategies, and communication supports
- Float to other units or nearby facilities within the San Gabriel Valley/Brea area based on census needs
